This website is meant to be a community portal and resource to promote Merrickville and the abundance of local talent that resides here.

The basic idea behind the website is that it will list on the front page events actually happening this week or coming up in the near future, along with links to websites that promote local talent or other things of interest to anyone thinking of coming to Merrickville. If you have a business that fits within these guidlines, please send me an email.

If you have an activity or event, or are planning to teach a course, or have a business that might be of interest to tourists please send the information and we will post it.

In addition, restaurant business hours and phone numbers are on the main page as a quick  reference to anybody planning a day trip.

The links page is open to any  business in Merrickville. If you would like your business information, including a link to your website posted on the links page, please send me an email. There is no charge for this.

The long term goal for the website is to add more pages documenting local talent and resources. In that regard, any person or group is welcome to send an email with comments or suggestions.

Also, photos of events, artists, musicians, etc are welcomed, and we will attempt to put these photos on the website in a way that integrates them with the style and theme of the site. If you have any text or comments you would like included with the photo or an external link to a website , send them along and we will attempt to place them in an appropriate place and context relevant to the photo. If there are any limitations on the use of the photo, please include them in the email.

Please note that receiving a photo does not bind the webmaster in any way in terms of its use or placement, or comments or text included with it, but having said this, it is also certainly our intention to honor the spirit and intent of any images or messages received.

Also, if any person objects in any way to the use, placement or comments regarding any photo, we will remedy  the situation within 48 hours of receiving a complaint, either by email or in person.

Anybody submitting anything for use on this website agrees to be bound by the above terms.
